Within the frost-free period, the rain-gauge without heating can be used
for the measurement of the amount and intensity of precipitation in
different resolution variants in connection with the UNIKLIMA® weather
station. In addition, the presented version is available with
heating for all-season application. The case consists of weatherproof plastic which can be cleaned
easily.
The measurement principle is based on impulse counting by tilting spoon / reed
contact. Successive calibration is possible.
The collector catching surface amounts to 200 cm².
In connection with UNIKLIMA®, it is possible to determine the
amount and intensity of precipitation in freely programmable measuring intervals
>=1 min.
With application of a mast system with cross beam for the sensor technology, it
should be noted that the rain-gauge is always attached in the main weather
direction,
i.e. in north to northwest direction.
